D.I.Y all the time! Floral Headband

D.I.Y all the time!

Floral Headband

This is a simple and easy way to make a super cute, super quick floral headband. So sorry for the lack of pictures accidentally deleted a few that belonged to this D.I.Y, but i knew i had to post this headband D.I.Y regardless. Ask all the questions you need to achieve the headband will be more than happy to answer. Since it may be a little difficult to go off of just the steps.

Supplies:
-2 Bouquet of flowers- Michaels  $5.99
-Elastic band (preferably the color that most camouflages to your hair)             Michaels $2.99
-Glue gun
-Scissors

STEP 1: Grab your elastic band and wrap it around your four-head, when one end of the elastic band reaches the other side, cut off the excess elastic.

STEP 2: With your glue gun, glue both ends of the elastic band together.

STEP 3: Grab your flower bouquet and pull off flowers. If pulling off the flowers is hard to do go ahead and cut them off.

STEP 4: Once the flowers have been pulled off there will be a plastic piece attached to the back of the flower, go ahead and cut that off. ( Unless, you have already cut off plastic piece in STEP 3)

STEP 5: When cutting off the extra piece of plastic your flower will come apart. No worries, glue the flower pedals back together. (If you have multicolored flowers here's your chance to mix and match flower pedals to get a color combination to your liking)

STEP 6: Finally start gluing all of your flowers to your elastic headband in which ever order to your liking.

         TA DAH!!!! YOU'RE DONE!

IF YOU RECREATE ANY OF THE D.I.Y's ON MY BLOG I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM HASHTAG THEM TO #D.I.YALLTHETIME ON INSTAGRAM

D.I.Y all the time

Silhouette holding balloons

I had gone thrifting a few weeks ago when i saw a bunch of vinyl records and i just knew i had to buy some to make something. I wasn't quite sure what that something was, i just knew i had to buy them. Then i came cross a picture of this silhouette girl holding balloons i thought i would be a great idea to substitute the balloons for the vinyl records. This is what i came up with.

Supplies:
7 Vinyl Records- .79 or .99 Thrift store
2 Stencils Martha Stewart 1 pc.- $4.99  Michaels
Crafts Smart white- $1.99 Michael's
Crafts Smart black- $1.99 Michael's

(or any color poster paper)
Glue gun
Black Balloon String
Push Pins

STEP 1: Grab your stencil and place it on top of the record

STEP 2: Paint the vinyl record.

STEP 3: Remove stencil.                                                Fast and carefully. *Like a bandaid!

REPEAT THESE THREE STEPS AND DESIGN EACH ONE TO YOUR LIKING OF COURSE

STEP 4: Cut seven long balloon strings.

STEP 5: Grab your glue gun and on each vinyl record put a dab of glue and stick a balloon string to each dab of glue.

NOW TIME TO START DRAWING YOUR SILHOUETTE DOLL!

STEP 6: First draw the silhouette in three parts to make it easier to draw the silhoette doll.

STEP 7: Grab your poster board and begin to the silhouette.

STEP 8: Cut out the silhouette.

( The silhouette is white in this picture because i first decided not to go with a traditional silhouette i was going to paint her in the Sea Breeze color which i didn't end up liking in the end. So i just traced the white silhouette to the black poster board and went with that).

STEP 9: Grab all your vinyl records, silhouette, and push pins.

STEP 10: To set up the silhouette, first put up the vinyl records and stick the with the push pins.

STEP 11: Pin up the silhouette doll.

STEP 12: Grab all the dangling balloon string, tie them together, and pin them to the silhouettes hand

DISNEY UP

Hey everyone! With Halloween basically a week and a half away i thought it would be a perfect time to put up a D.I.Y costume. My boyfriend and i wanted to have a theme between the two of our costumes and that is when UP came into the conversation. So i got to thinking which two characters should we be? And most importantly how am i going to make them? So we decided that i will Kevin the bird and my boyfriend will be Russell.

Step 1: I couldn't find brown fabric                        Step 3: Grab your scissors and cut

                                         of the shirt.
Should look like this when all done                                       Step 7: Glue the ends of the

Step 6: Grab your glue gun, badges, and
        sash.

Step 8: Cover the back of the
badge with glue.                                                                          When sash is done should
                                                                                                           look like this.
Step 9: Place badge on the sash.
                                                           CONTINUE STEP 8 & 9
Step 10: Make two Wilderness                                           Step 12: Glue the second one to
Explorers badge or print two out.                                       the yellow shirt.

Step 11: Glue one badge to the yellow hat.
Step 13: Print or make a
Unites States Flag and glue it
to the LEFT SIDE of the sleeve.

Step 14: Not sure what this is called,
but it is at the BOTTOM RIGHT of Russell's
shirt. Again make or print out one and glue it
to the bottom right of the shirt.

NOW THAT'S BASICALLY IT. JUST BUY SOME KHAKI SHORTS IF YOU DON'T ALREADY HAVE SOME.

MOVING ONTO KEVIN'S COSTUME!
LET ME START OFF BY SAYING I WENT TO PARTY CITY AND FOUND FEATHER BOAS THERE BUT THEY WERE $9.99 EACH. "YEAH NO THANK YOU." SO I WENT TO THE 99 CENT STORE AND FOUND FEATHER BOAS THERE.

~ Black slip ons or heels

* THESE FIRST FEW STEPS ARE NOT MAY NOT PERTAIN TO YOU. UNLESS YOU HAVE TO DYE SOME OF YOUR FEATHER BOAS.
DYING YOUR FEATHER BOAS
*Supplies needed for dying boas
~ buckets ( number of buckets is depending on how many many you need to dye)
~ food coloring ( colors you need to dye boas feathers)
~ koolaid ( colors you nee to dye feathers)
THESE WERE ALL HOUSEHOLD ITEMS FOR ME. THAT WAS WHY I DECIDED TO DYE THEM. IF NOT I WOULD HAVE JUST WENT LOOKING TO BUY SOME  YELLOW AND BLUE BOAS.
Step 1: Grab your buckets, koolaid packets, food
coloring , feathers.
Step 2: Add water in buckets mix in koolaid and food
coloring. Mix.
Step 3: Add you feather boas, let dye over night.
Step 4: Once dyed rinse boas and blow dry them
dry. To get the feathers to there fluffiest.
Should like like this when feathers
                                                                                   are dyed and dried.
PUTTING YOUR SKIRT TOGETHER
Step 1: Grab your tutu and paper clips
and start clipping your feather boas to
your tutu. So you get an idea of what you              Once all your feathers are clipped on
want you skirt to look like.                                     your skirt should look like this.

Step 2: Grab your glue gun and at the
elastic part of your tutu add a dab
of your glue and press on your feathers          Should look like this when done gluing.
(I also added glue on and to the bottom          Adding glue throughout the tutu makes
of the tutu) .                                                 the tutu look fuller. Compared to the tutu
                                                                      above.

IF YOUR DARK NAVY SHIRT DOES
NOT HAVE RUFFLES UP TOP                                          THIS IS NOT ME!
Step 3: Take some blue feathers from your            Found this on Beautylish.com and
