Step 1: Draw an outline of where you are going to cut the bottle. *The wider you cut the bottle from the front the more space you have for your phone.
This is how the outline of the back of the bottle should look like.
Step 2: Cut out the outlines. *Place phone inside to measure the fit if you have to make the hole bigger feel free to do so now.
Step 3: Begin to wrap the duct tape around the bottle.
Step 4: Cut out all excess tape covering the holes you cut out.

D.I.Y all the time! Lace tights

D.I.Y all the time!

Lace tights

Supplies:    -Tights    -chalk or a marker     -scissors      -fabric glue      -yarn/needle     -Lace OR any print fabric -Ruler
Step! 1: What you want to do is try on the tights and measure how high you want to cut the tights make a line with your chalk or marker where you'd like to begin to cut.  The measurements i made were 1inx24in. *Here's a great tip that i learned through trial and error buy a pair of tights that are one size larger if you are not using stretchable material. Or else the tights will just rip when trying them on. Any measurements longer than 1 inch in width shows alot of leg. Just want you to be aware of that tip.
Step 2: Now that you have the line drawn around the thigh area. Begin to draw a line coming down from the tights. Like the picture above.
Notice the left side of the dashes. That is the side you will not be cutting. So you will need to sew that stitch close. Or else that flap will fall apart. So for every seam you cut sew it close.
 Step 4: Begin to sew.
Step 5: Begin to cut where you drew the dashes.
Should look like this once both sides of the legs are cut.
Step 6: Measure the size of the cut you made. Mine was 2inx24 in. if you do not fold the fabric in half. If you decide to fold the fabric in half it will be alot faster and easier. If you fold the fabric in half the measure meant becomes 1inx24in.
Step 7:  Measure and cut out the fabric.
Should look like this once both sides of the material are cut out.
Step 8: Begin to glue on the fabric. *You can glue on the fabric or you can sew on the fabric. If you glue on lace. BE VERY CAREFUL when gluing it isn't a solid fabric so it makes it hard to hold the pieces together firmly place the fabric. If you are gluing lace wait a few seconds before holding to two pieces together. To prevent from burning yourself.

D.I.Y all the time! Upcycle old pair of jeans

D.I.Y all the time!

Upcycle old pair of jeans

I noticed my old favorite pair jeans were beginning to get a small tear at the knee and I am not quite ready to throw them away yet. They just fit me so well. Any of you know what I mean? So I thought why not find a way to keep them maybe just a little longer. So I decided to cut them up. If any of you have the same problem i thought of a way to save your old favorite pair of jeans.

Supplies: -A pair of jeans  -Scissors  -Glue gun  -Ruler  -Tweezers
-Fabric (any print) as long as it stretches

First, decide where you want to cut the jeans.  I drew it out with chalk so that you would be able to tell where i will cut the jeans.

Second, cut jeans. I left a couple horizontal strips of the jeans still attached to distress them in the next step. If that makes any sense. I tried to reword that sentence many times I couldn't think of a better sentence to explain what i meant. *Leaving the strips of jeans is optional.
Third, distress jeans. Distressing the pair of jeans is when you pull out all of the blue jean material with the tweezers then loosening the rest of the material leaving you with white yarn. As shown in the picture when we begin to measure.
Fourth, Also distress the outer circle. To do so take a fork or your nail and scratch across the edges where you cut. The more you wash your jeans the more distressed the outer edges become.
Fifth, Measure the length from your highest point to your lowest point leaving one inch extra to each edge. Notice in the picture that at the top of the ruler there is one inch extra before i begin to measure the exact cut i made. I made the same one inch measurement to the bottom as well. Doing so will allow you the extra material needed when gluing. So that the material doesn't feel tight when walking.
Sixth, measure the width. Measure seam to seam. The width was not long enough to add one extra inch so i just measured seam to seam.
Seventh, make your measurements on the fabric.
Eighth, cut out measurement.

Should look like this.

Ninth, begin to glue on fabric. Tip: Glue inch by inch. Well a little longer than that, no more than three inches at a time. To glue fabric on more precisely. If you cut your back pocket. When gluing be VERY CAREFUL. There is no way to flip it inside out so i just glued the fabric on very slowly.

Tenth, when done gluing flip jeans inside out and go back and glue fabric as close the the edge as possible if you missed any spots.

 DONE!

D.I.Y all the time! Heart stitched knitted sweater

D.I.Y all the time!

Heart stitched knitted sweater

I just want to start off by apologizing to you for not posting and new D.I.Ys for the past two weeks. With the holidays going on it was a hectic time with family coming to visit and being able to spend time with everyone. Again i am sorry and next time,l when i will not be posting a new blogs i will post a quick blog let you know.

Supplies:
- Knitted sweater
- Felt
- Yarn
- Sewing Needle
- Marker

Grab an old knitted sweater. Or you may buy an inexpensive one at the Thrift Store if you do not have one.

Cut out One big heart and Two small hearts from a piece of paper. The Big heart will go on the middle of the sweater and the two small hearts will go on the elbows. Take a sheet of Felt. I am using a basic red piece of felt. I know i only have one small heart here. Place the hearts on felt and trace the hearts with a marker.
 Cut out the hearts.
The best way to get an accurate placement of where you want your hearts to be is put on the sweater and pin down the hearts with a pin. Take off sweater carefully trying not to poke yourself with the pins.
Begin to sew on the hearts. What i was going for here was trying to NOT get perfect stitches. I didn't want perfect straight stitches i think it looks better. In doing so if you mess up that is basically what you're going for.
 DONE!!!

I just started an Instagram account just based on my D.I.Ys. Where i will let you know when there is a new blog up. The accounts name to find me is             d_i_yallthetime
