Mid-Thigh ripped tights

 I fell in love with these tights the moment i saw a picture of them on Google. So i thought what the heck i have a couple pairs of tights. So i just grabbed a pair of tights, some scissors and chalk and made my own right then and there! Super easy Super cute!!!

What you will need is.
Tights (ANY color)
Scissors

Chalk                                                                 >>>>>>>

          First: Try on your tights. With your chalk draw lines, mid-thigh.

           Draw a couple of lines on both sides of your thighs. BE SURE NOT TO MAKE THOSE LINES TOO HIGH.

They are called Mid-Thigh for a reason >.<

Second: After drawing a few sample lines, go ahead and change out of your tights and begin to draw the rest of the lines around the tights.

Kind of hard to tell but im showing you the seam of the tights. It's a reminder DO NOT DRAW ON OR CUT THE SEAM.
Doing so will ruin your tights completely.

   Third: Begin to cut the lines you drew.

Fourth: Grab one sting

Fifth: Pull string. (This will roll up the material nice and tight. To make the rips look clean).

Sixth:An easier way to tighten the material is grab them all at once and pull them in the opposite direction.

After all that pulling your tights are done. And should now look this this.


*If a string rips in half you can rip it out completely or just tie it back together in a cute bow for a little something extra.

Word of advice when putting the tights on, is put them on slowly and carefully. Not to stick your toes or whole foot through a hole it will cause the hole to tear even bigger. I almost did that when putting them on. Can you blame me i was so excited to see the end result.
                                                         

Ohhh, and don't worry about the tights ripping more like when you sit or anything. I was thinking the same thing to myself. "What if when i sit and they rip, or even worse if i have to pick up something from the floor. I'm screwed!" No you're good (: I tested them out. Unless you have really thin tights. Might be a different story with those.

Poka Dot capris jeans

I was at the mall, when i saw these adorable Poka Dot jeans but they were $39.99. Don't think so! So i thought to myself ill just recreate these at home. Which came out to to be way cheaper to make, of course. I started with an old pair of jeans i was planning to get rid of anyways. All the other supplies are just at home items. Well, except for the Fabric paint i bought Tulip Matté white paint at Micheals. Which in the description may confuse you a little, SO LET ME CLARIFY that up before you get confused. I bought Tulip fabric paint, but when grabbing the paint to start the project i grabbed my SmartCraft white paint by accident. Which i did not realize until i was about to start painting. So I just switched the both right before I starting painting.

If you do not have a circle shaped sponge. Here is a Simple way to MAKE A CIRCLE SHAPED SPONGE!

-Scissors

-Marker

-Sponge ~Save the other half of the cut sponge.

-Something circle shaped to help trace. *Any size your preference 

STEP 1: Trace a circle on the sponge.

STEP 2: Cut out circle. AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

-Bucket                            -White paint (Tulip Matté)

-Bleach                               Michaels-$1.99

-Scissors                        ~The paint bottle has a pink lid i  

-Tweezers                            accidentally grabbed the wrong

-Gloves                                white paint

- A pair of Jeans               -Sponge

-Spray bottle                     ~ Or second half of the cut sponge

- Circle shaped sponge   - Plate or bowl

STEP 1: Fill bucket with warm water.

STEP 2: Drench the jeans in water. (The jeans were not wet in this picture. So it would be easier to show you the seam).

STEP 3: Fold your jeans in half. The seam should be right in the middle of your new fold.

     

 

STEP4: Fill the spray bottle with water and bleach.
* DON'T FORGET TO PUT ON YOUR GLOVES


STEP 5: Spray diluted bleach on the front half of jeans.

STEP 6: Go back with a sponge and add some extra bleach on the front half of jeans. (Optional just makes them even whiter in the front).

YOUR JEANS SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS WHEN THE BLEACH HAS SET

 

 

 

STEP 7: Wash jeans.

 

 ---DISTRESS JEANS OPTIONAL---

STEP 8: Cut a few lines horizontal lines. On a couple areas of your jeans.

WILL LOOK LIKE THIS ONCE CUT!

 

STEP 9: With your tweezers, pluck out hanging strays of yarn.

 

 

 

STEP 10: Pour white paint on a plate and grab your circle shaped sponge.

STEP 11: Dip sponge in paint

STEP 12: Stamp sponge on jeans.

STEP 13: Stamp sponge one inch under your first circle. REPEAT.

STEP 14: For the second row of circles.
BEGIN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RIGHT
OR LEFT SIDE OF THE FIRST ROW THAT
YOU STAMPED ON.

STEP 15: Start the other side of your jeans.

STEP 16: Continue on the back with same pattern.

 STEP 17: Roll up the bottom of your jeans to turn them into capris. If they are not capris already.

Fall is in the air... Well not really. Atleast not in all parts of California some cities are still pretty hot out here. It should start cooling down real soon though. Fingers crossed! That being said it's going to be time for sweaters, beanie's and of course scarves. Here is a SUPER QUICK and EASY D.I.Y scarf. Which literally took me 20 min to do each scarf. I know what you may be think, "Geez those are alot of steps". Yeah there are, but each step only takes a few seconds.
